Zaid Hameed
Spoken Word Artist & Co-Founder | Muslim Culture Con (MCC) based in Atlanta, GA: Zaid Hameed is committed to fostering community growth and prosperity. He is a Co-Founder and current Secretary for the nonprofit Muslim Culture Con, where he serves on the Programming Team curating Muslim young adult (18-35) identity & leadership development initiatives for the community of Imam W. Deen Mohammed (RA). His efforts focus on evolving community life and facilitating effective transitions of young adults into community leadership.
Additionally, Zaid is the Founder of Effective Poetry, curating impactful poetry and live entertainment experiences in Atlanta at the intersection of Al-Islam, Artistic Expression, and Black America. Through facilitating free community writing workshops in local Islamic Schools and Masajid; he strives to cultivate others through his poetry and community service. Now entering his 7th semester, Zaid has been studying Qur’anic Recitation at the Islamic Learning Institute since Fall
2023.
