Marriage: In the Manner of the Prophet ﷺ
Course Summary:
This course explores marriage in Islam through the lens of the Qur’an and the Prophetic example. Students learn that marriage is a sacred covenant built on love (mawwadah), mercy (rahmah), and tranquility (sakinah). The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ serves as the model husband gentle, just, affectionate, and supportive demonstrating how to nurture relationships with compassion and fairness. Key topics include:
• Qur’anic foundations of marriage as worship and covenant.
• The Prophet’s ﷺ conduct with his wives: kindness, humor, patience, and respect.
• Communication and conflict resolution rooted in mercy.
• Mutual rights and responsibilities in marriage.
• Love, intimacy, and spiritual companionship.
• Marriage as a foundation for strong families and communities.
By the end, participants gain both spiritual insight and practical skills to embody the Prophetic manner in their own relationships, fostering marriages that are dignified, balanced, and rooted in faith.
