Course overview
Ijazah Certification Course — Riwayah of Imam Hafs
Deepen your connection with the Qur’an and pursue Ijaazah certification in the Riwayah of Imam Hafs ‘an ‘Asim, one of the most widely transmitted readings of the Qur’an.
This course is designed for serious students who have a strong foundation in Qur’an recitation and wish to refine their Tajweed, pronunciation, fluency, and accuracy through direct instruction and correction by a qualified instructor.
Students will recite the Qur’an with careful attention to the rules of Tajweed, makharij, characteristics of the letters, stopping and starting, and the proper application of the Riwayah of Hafs. Upon successful completion and demonstration of the required level of proficiency, students may be eligible to receive an Ijaazah authorizing the transmission of the Qur’an, according to the instructor’s established chain of transmission (Sanad).
Course pre-requisites
  Ijazzah Prep Course Completion or equivalent course (Testing Required)
 No New Students will be excepted at this time, current Students only
 Students should have strong Qur’an recitation skills and a solid understanding of foundational Tajweed. Admission may require an assessment of the student's recitation before enrollment.

Hajjah Swiyya Haqq

Swiyya Haqq Was A Part Of The Imam W.D. Mohammad Swiyya Haqq was a part of the Imam W.D. Mohammad delegation to Syria from 2000-2004. She also studied Arabic and Islamic Studies in Yemen in 2005. Since studying abroad, Swiyya has concentrated her studies in the science of tajweed. Since gaining ijazas in hafs recitation from Syria, she has studied the 10 ways of quranic recitation, receiving ijaza in them as well. Swiyya also holds a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics and Tesol.
