Course overview
This is Part 2 of a two-part course, providing the skills and understanding of Tajweed rules to equip the student with the ability to improve and perfect their reading of Qur’aan. Course topics include Al-Madood (Elongations) in Arabic reading, rules and symbols for Waqf (stopping), breathing techniques, different types of Idghaam (blending), and more.

Meet the instructor

Rasheedah U. Muslem

Rasheedah Ummil-Khair Muslem has been with the Islamic Learning Institute for two years as a student and an assistant instructor. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Psychology. Currently, Rasheedah is continuing her Islamic education as she pursues a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies, as well as an Ijaazah in Tajweed of Qur'aan.
